Seating

All ticketed events at Guiseley Theatre will have a seat for every ticket holder. This is a legal requirement of our lisence.  Some events are sold to a seating plan where ticket holders are allocated to a specific seat OR tickets are sold on a general admission basis where seats are allocated on a first come first serve basis. This is so that we can alter the seating plan according to ticket sales to ensure that our audiences have the best experience.

Involuntary Noise Policy

Guiseley Theatre is your theatre and our doors are open to everyone. Our vision is to engage, empower, inspire, and enable the widest possible audience through transformational learning and theatre. We enjoy welcoming our visitors, and often welcome visitors who may make involuntary noises. We have a duty of care to understand where the noise is coming from, why the noise is being made, and if there is anything we may be able to do to assist the person making the noise. Guiseley Theatre will not ask a patron making involuntary noises to leave a performance.
We fully support the Equality Act 2010, which places a duty on providers of services, such as Guiseley Theatre, to make reasonable adjustments in order to avoid a disabled person being placed at a substantial disadvantage compared with non-disabled people when enjoying our services.

Latecomers

We always try our best to seat latecomers in both our performance spaces at appropriate points in the performance, as advised by the production company. We may have to find alternative space temporarily and you will be able to move to your seats during the interval to cause minimal disruption to other audience member and our performers.
Some shows may operate a no latecomers or non-remittance policy due to the type or genre of the performance or for safety reasons. If we are aware of this prior we will endeavour to advise all customers when booking their tickets with us.

Access

Access is a challenge in a 156 year old building. There are 2 steps in to the building via the main entrance and 1 step via the stage door. Ramped access to the stage door is possible with prior arrangement. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor of the building. Access to the main auditorium is limited with stairs and a chairlift. There is no lift facility to the auditorium or balcony levels. All toilet facilities at Guiseley Theatre are unisex. BSL interpretation and relaxed performances may be scheduled for specific performances, please get in touch for more information. We are aware that our building does not meet the expectations of modern day accessibility but we are working hard to address this in our redevelopment plans.
Please contact info@guiseleytheatre.org to discuss your individual access needs prior to your visit.
