The Offenbach
This room is named after a famed Operatic Composer, as are all our ground floor rooms, Jacques Offenbach is remembered for his nearly 100 operettas of the 1850s–1870s and his uncompleted opera The Tales of Hoffmann. He was a powerful influence on later composers of the operetta genre, particularly Johann Strauss, Jr, whom another of our rooms is named after. This room is our largest ground floor room and is often used for a variety of events from rehearsals, auditions, classes, clubs, workshops and socials.
The Offenbach room shows off some fantastic features of the victorian architecture with tall windows and carved ceiling, as well as the addition of glorious art deco chandeliers.
