In 2020, our on stage facilities were condemned and once stripped out, we fundraised for a temporary system that is still in use today.
We have received a generous grant of £10,000 from the Backstage Trust to begin the mammoth task of putting a new, permanent rig back in place. On top of this, they have promised an additional £10,000 if we can raise £10,000 ourselves, which would give us a pot of £30,000 to get a significant proportion of the work completed.
With a view of the work taking place in August 2026, we are spending June and July fundraising to achieve that £10,000 target through donations, events and dedicating our Balcony Seating.
Dedicate
a Seat
Our Balcony is home to 100 seats.
In an attempt to raise £10,000, we are opening every seat up for dedication for £100 each.
Currently, the seats each house a blue plaque from the 1980's when the building was adopted by the community. These plaques raised vital funds back then and we are hoping to do the same nearly half a century later.
